Bye 09 and hi 2010 :)

Happy new year everyone! I hope today was a great day for everyone celebrating holidays are fun. On new years eve my family also celebrates one other spechial occation, my older brothers birthday. He turned 23 today so happy birthday to him :)

I don't ever really make new years resolutions but there are a couple of things I would like to do in 2010 (wow sounds so crazy to say that!). One of those things is to learn more about the major I want to go into. Another is to finish writing the 3 books I am in the middle of writing. I also want to be more open minded and be more willing to try new things. New things like food and doing things out of my ellement.

I've had a lot of fun and made some awesome friends, gotten closer to old friends, and learned some stuff about my self. Sad to see the old year go by, but. I'll always keep the awesome memories.I can't wait to see what G-d has planned for me in this new year for me, and I'm excited to find out. I know what ever happens in 2010 my amazing friends and family will be there for me the whole time.

I'm ready to see what you got planned for me 2010! Let's start this new adventure called life :)

2009

2009 is almost over. It’s gone by faster than I could have expected. I’ve had some good times, and made new friends, and I’ve had disappointments, and arguments. I’ve laughed until I cried, and I’ve cried until I’ve fallen asleep cried some more, laughed and wiped the tears away, and moved on stronger than before.
With 2009 coming to an end, it brings along the end of my first semester as a freshman in high school. In 2010, I’ll be turning 16 and starting 10th grade. Which has really made me start thinking about what I want to do in collage. In one way I feel like I’m thinking about this too early, but really I’m not. Well, I’m not sure what to do. I want to do something I love, I know that much. I think that’s what we all hope for.
I considered doing something with drawing, and while I’m a fair artist, I’m not great and I’m best at cartoons. And while I enjoy wasting a half an hour or so drawing or painting, I don’t want to do it as a job. I’m never going to stop my doodling, I do it all the time but I’m just not going to do anything else with it.
I considered doing something with cooking. And while I do thuroly enjoy cooking and eating the food I make, its something I mostly enjoy to do for my family. They’re my Ginny pigs when it comes to new recipes, and they always will be. I love cooking, but its something only my friends and family will taste. Because, as much as I love to cook, I don’t want to be a chef.
I love writing, I love acting and directing and designing costumes and sets, I love film and photography. And these are the things I want to focus on. I’ve thought about them a lot, and as much as I think about it, I know I’m never going to get tired of these things.
I’m in the middle of writing about three stories. Focusing on one which is at about 55,000 words. The other two I write some parts sometimes but I try to not focus on to much at once. I considered being a newspaper writer or whatever you want to call it, but that’s not the writing I like to do. I like to write stories that you get lost in. I like to write something you curl up with on the big comfy chair (you know the one that everyone seams to have in their house) next to the window with a blanket and a cup of coffee on a cold rainy day. Something you want to go back to and read over again for the plain joy of reading a story, and not something that might get posted on the fridge for a while until it gets splashed with water and taken down. I love stories. And that’s what I want to write.
I love the theater more than anything. I’m not sure why. I told my mom once it’s my roller coasters. I absolutely hate roller coasters, but I’ve heard people that like them say they like the rush of wind and speed, the sickening feeling of the ground going away and your stomach being left behind. And than, you just feel the thrill of flying threw the air. And that’s the best way I can describe being on a stage too. I lose my stomach upon seeing the crowd and feeling nervous. But than, once I get into the roll of things, I just feel like I’m flying. Hearing the audience laugh and love the show just as much as you. And you know all the work, and all the time, and all the effort you put into the play, has paid off.
Not only do I love being on stage and acting, I love back stage. In its own way its crazy. People tend to forget about all the tech’s but they are just as important as the actors. There was this one quote that said: “Techs. Without us you would be naked singing very loudly on a bare stage. In the dark." And its funny but true. I have so much respect for all the tech’s now its crazy. I’ve teched for a couple of shows. One I was just a rent-a-tech as we called it. I was an actor in a different play and they asked for me to help tech. I was just a stage hand than but still. The other show I teched in was a musical with a billion props, I was the Prop Master. That was a pretty crazy job but I enjoyed it.
It’s not only the straight up teching that I enjoy and respect but it’s the costumes, makeup, and sets too. I would even really enjoy being a costume, makeup, or set designer. All things that I love a lot.
Now one of the things I haven’t necessarily had practice doing, but I know I would love is directing. Cuz that kinda pulls all of the theater things I love doing into one.
I also love the filming and photography half too.
My goals seam crazy. I don’t necessarily want to go to Hollywood and make it big or anything, it’s the simple aspect of theater that I like. The shear amazingness of taking a plain stage filling it up with lights, colors, costumes, and a story.
I’ve always looked at my older brother and thought that he could do anything he wanted. Be whatever he wanted. He is always the person who’s good at everything. The person who surpassed me in playing piano (which I have been doing for a year an a half) in 2 weeks, by teaching himself. The one who looks at the math problems I struggle with for ever and says “X=2” and is right. The one who win’s everytime we play board games. The one who seams to know everything. I thought, he can do anything and he knows it. But the other day, he was talking to my mom about his major and he said he wasn’t enjoying the major he was working for right now. When my mom asked him what he wanted to do instead, he shrugged and said that he didn’t know. Because the things he wanted to do most where crazy and unreachable. Isn’t he the one who can do anything? I wondered. So for a second it made me stop. If he can’t do what he wants, how am I ever going to be able to do what I want?
But than I realized, I’m not him. I’m not going for the same goals as him. I’m not taking the same path. I’m my own person. Doing my own thing. Having my own dreams and goals. And I’m not going to settle. I want to do what I love. And I’m going to work as hard as I can to do what I want.
I’m not sure what exactly or how exactly I want to fulfill my goals. I just know, that my heart is in the theater and always will be. I could do other things, other jobs, but that’s not what I want to do. I don’t want to settle. I want to do something I love. I don’t want to look back at life and know that, for my job, I could have done something that I loved, but didn’t take the opportunity. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do anything with theater, but I know, if I have the chance, I’ll take it because that’s what I love. And I know if I do, I wont have any regrets.
I hope I get the chance. But for now, I’ll learn what I can, and hope and pray the right doors get opened. And if Theater really is what G-d wants be to go into, I know he’ll open the right doors for me.

Tomorrow

SO...Tomorrow is my first day of Friday school :O Not completely sure what to think, I'm kinda scared to start it, but on the other hand I'm kinda excited to start it as well. It's a mix of feelings :P
I'll be taking 3 classes there. English something (I forgot what coarse thing it is :/), Biology Lab-this equals grossness. I have to dissect a bunch of things. Everything from a crayfish to a frog to a eye to a rabbit (<-- that is the biggest thing we will be dissecting. I think its gross)It's like something every week, no joke ew. I'm also going to be taking Algebra II D: AHH. Scaryness and not really looking forward to that class. In Bio I know about 6 people, in the writing class I know at least one person and in Algebra I don't think I know anyone (just my luck, ugh :P).
So tomorrow I'll start and see how everything goes...yup yup :)

oops didn't mean to publish that last post yet :/ My bad. Anyways finishing thought, still not on a school sedual but hopefully I'll get used to it soon cuz I am soo tired now haha.
I'm not going to be in CSDC this school year which is a super bummer :( So my only extra curricular activities will be piano. It'll be really weird to not be in drama, I've been in that group since 5th grade. Four years, thats like someones highschool years. So it's weird, and I'll really really miss it.

So sad day, summer is over :(

Today is Tuesday and I have officially been a freshman high schooler for two days now :P Not to much is different except at church cuz I am still homeschooled. I'll be starting Friday School this year though so that will defiantly be something different that I'm not used to. I'll be taking English (ugh), Biology (Ewwww, dissecting something every week! What?!? Super duper gross. Only good thing is I know about 6 different people that will be in that class and for a dissection you do it in groups of 2 or 3), and Algebra II (UGH UGH UGH. NOT looking forward to this one at ALL. I don't know anyone in this class either so that is a bummer). So Friday school will defiantly be a new experience. Also at home I am doing Geography, and Bible with Mom. So the two easy classes that I like are at home, and the ones I don't like are at Friday school. Hmmm :/ So with the first two days of school being over I am officially a fish. :/
Oh! Also forgot, we got a new doggy. She is 5 months old now and super cute. She's some kind of mutt though I forgot what kind.
Ummmmmm.............can't really think of anything else to say except I am super tired (still not back on a school schedual)

The coast

So I haven't blogged in a while even though I should have. About two weeks ago we went down to Corpus Cristi, we haven't been down there since I was really little, I don't even remember going the time I was really little. But this past time was a lot of fun. Corpus isn't that far from us, took about 2 hours to get there and we stayed for two nights. We really didn't go to the ocean that much since none of us even like the ocean that much LOL. Daniel refused to go in passed his ankles because he said there would be Jelly Fish and Becca wouldn't go in either. Mom and Dad didn't want to, and in my defense, I can't really swim. Though I did sit in the shallow part where the waves just hit me.
Mostly while there we did stuff around town. One day we went to the Texas State Aquarium, and the other day we went to shops around town and we went out to eat. We also went to the beach for a little and spent a lot of time in our hotel pool, which was a pretty amazing pool.
At first our room in the hotel was on like the 18th floor or something, but when we got into the room it was all wet and humid. And I do mean wet, like the bed and carpet was wet. It was kinda gross actually. So we changed rooms and went down to floor 9 I think but it was still a nice view.
Yeah so over all Corpus was a really fun trip! I can't believe summer is almost over :/ I'm going to be a fish this year so that'll be interesting LOL :)

HAPPY SISTERS DAY! :D

So today (Or rather yesterday since its passed midnight now) was sisters day a holiday my sister and me came up with a few years back. See we realized something, everyone has a birthday, and then there's Mothers Day, and Fathers day, and even a Grandpearents day, along with a bunch of other holidays like that. BUT there isn't a sibling day or anything like that. My brother and sister and I have always been close and also all of our birthdays are in the winter so there isn't anyone's birthdays or anything in the summer, so we made up Brothers Day and Sisters Day :) Brothers day is June 7th and Sisters day is July 8th.
So anyway Becca, Daniel and I went to Pang's for dinner today, yummy Chinese food :)I got Becca two pairs of earring's, and Daniel got her (and me) $20 Jamba Juice gift cards. Becca got me a pencil holder (something she's been trying to find for me forever now), $10 gift card to half price books and a $10 gift card to Jamba Juice. So I now have $30 to Jamba Juice LOL well actually its a little under $30 now cuz we went there :D
After dinner and Jamba Juice we came home and played Rock Band, Mario Cart, and Little Big Planet for a super long time. It was a lot of fun and Sisters day as a whole was a lot of fun :D

So Becca decided that she wanted to make my blog look pretty today so she made the header thingy at the top and we picked a new background. Becca likes to do these things funny enough, I'm not very good at doing all these computer things so I'm glad she did it for me :)

WOO HOO

yay yay Neeko doesn't have F.I.V we get to keep him :D He's the cutest cat ever and I'm happy that we get to keep him cuz I've gotton really attached to him LOL.

Oh and I'm almost done with school for summer, I have to finish one english lesson and some history and thats it! :D :D :D

Drama :D

So for the past two weeks I have pretty much been around my drama friends ALL the time. We've been having rehearsals and then this past weekend had three performances. Its been absolutely crazy but also a lot of fun. We had only three dress rehearsals and one tech rehearsal.
On Friday and Saturday we had our performances at 7:30, on Sunday our performance was at 2:30. It was kinda weird to do a performance in the middle of the day, I'm not used to coming out of the building and it being all bright and sunny :)
After the last performance we had to strike the set and load everything up into the U-HAUL and take everything back to Grace Point. It was weird to have a performance somewhere other than at Grace Point but the stage at UTSA was really cool. It was a lot bigger and the dressing rooms we're all fancy. The acoustics their where also really good their so even though we had some people that aren't very good at projecting it still sounded really good.
After we finished striking all the set (which surprisingly didn't take that long) we all went over to Raegen's house and had a little party. We ate and went swimming in the pool (which was funny since it was just a little 4 foot pool and not that wide). It was a lot of fun.
After being around all the drama people for so long its weird not to be around them everyday now. I wont see any of them till Thusday, how weird is that? We had three seniors this year, it will be weird to be at drama with out them.
Over all, all three of the performances went well, and they where a lot of fun. I have lots of pictures of the play but none of them are saved on the computer yet so I can't upload any of them.

what I will be doing the next two weeks

So the crazy two weeks of drama will begin starting tomorrow. I'm this week I'm gonna be at drama 4-10 Monday-Wednesday, then on Thursday I have normal class so 9-12, and then on Saturday I have another rehearsal 9-5. THEN the next week I have drama 4-10 Monday-Wednesday, then on Thursday I have drama all day, I don't know exactly from what time to what time. Friday is the first performance at 7:30 I think, then the same on Saturday then on Sunday is the last performance at 2:30 and another rehearsal on Saturday. Then the next week I am gonna be at drama Monday-Sunday. Doesn't sound that bad when you read this but when you look at a calender with all of this stuff and are actually doing it, it gets a little hectic! :D

So the video on the top of my blog is from Easter. Daniel had to work till six and so we couldn't do anything until he got home. That left way to much time for Becca and me to come up with the plan to attack him with silly string and cascarones. It was fun and he was surprised. :D LOL

So when I wrote on Sunday only half the day had passed and we ended up doing a lot more. We failed to be even a little healthy that weekend and eat subway for a meal, instead we got Chinese food and ate a LOT. For dinner Dad made a roast and Mom made a cake. Mom had Becca and I frost the cake which didn't exactly turn out so great, but we did end up making it super pretty. Or rather Becca did, I contributed ideas and mixed colors though.

So we waited for Daniel to come home until we did the cascarones because like I said in my last post it wouldn't have been as fun or funny without him. The confetti we got this year didn't stick to us quite so much as it has in the past. So thats always a good thing. I think I

managed to get hit with a cascarone-by Daniel-3 times this year. Compaired to the past years, thats good. But there also weren't as many opertunities since we had a lot less cascarones then we normally do.

Basically the egg dye that we got didn't work to well and the only colors that you could really see where blue and green so thats why most of our eggs where blue of green this year.

One year Daniel hid some cascarones behind his back and got us when we least expected it. Lucily we where safe this year, no hiding cascarones!!! :D

What I have done today so far and a little bit of yesterday :D

So yesterday after I got back form Alexa's house we went to church and then came home and made cascarones like we do every year. My fingers are nice and blueish/greenish now and it will probably take another day to get all they dye off of me. LOL I am always the only one in my family to get so messy-or messy period :D
Daniel ended up having to work today so I dono what we are doing exactly today. Cacarones wouldn't be as much fun/violent without him. Since I mostly just watch Becca and Daniel attack each other-and smash the eggs on Mom or Dad where its not as likely to get hurt by an egg-I'm never too concerned about the violence, its just fun to watch.
So far I have eaten a very UN-healthy breakfast of krispy kream donuts, two peeps, and milk. We played scatogorys and Dad and Becca are out getting lunch from subway.
I think we are eating roast and cake for dinner, and I don't know what else but I'm sure there is other food as well.

Drama @ the Millers

So today I had drama today but the church we normally have class at is busy doing a bunch of stuff for this weekend, SO we had to have drama class at my teachers house. So yeah it was a long day cuz we had class outside. Good thing it wasn't too hot today. We all sat outside on the play set at different times. I'm surprised that it didn't break or something, LOL.
We didn't really work to much on actually working on the play or lines, but just working on projection. Which is a good thing cuz we might not have any microphones for the performances. That makes it hard. The play is gonna be at UTSA downtown this year, too bad it isn't at the other campus cuz that one is a LOT closer. Anywho, yeah I know I was gonna say something else but I don't remember what... :D

randomness

so the blog isn't doing what I'm telling it to so I'm just doing this to see if it will somehow make it work...so yeah I really am not even suppose to be on the computer I'm suppose to be reading something for school but I'm putting it off and doing this first. So yeah even though I do have things to say I'll do that later on if I remember. So for now thats all. :)

Rehearsal this Saturday

So this past Saturday I was at drama ALL day. From 9-5, that is one LONG rehearsal time :P I wasn't in most of the parts that we rehearsed, it was alright though cuz I was still kinda sick. I wasn't feeling to bad, I felt better then Thursday. On Thursday I could barley talk, at least I could talk, I just couldn't stop sneezing. I'm feeling better now though.
But anyway the rehearsal. It was really long, but we got threw a bit. We finished going threw the end of the script and then started over and got to scene 3 (I think). Next week we aren't aloud to say line so if we miss up we just got to fix it on our own. The fun part is because of my roll, if people don't do what they are supposed to then I get to push them out of the way or something so that's kinda fun that I get to tell them what to do :)
I basically finished making all the signs for the play, except for 2. And that was just because we couldn't find a massive black sharpie. And that was after all the time I spent trying to find the red sharpies. Which all died within a minuet or so, it was REALLY annoying :P

nothingness

So we're getting closer to the performance now. Exciting! There was actually a rehearsal today but I didn't have to go since I wasn't in any of the parts that they where gonna rehears today, so I guess that was good. I've just been at home mostly writing today so that was also a good thing I got a good amount of writing done. Not half as much as I should of with all the time I spent on it, but I get distracted easy. :) So yeah I haven't been doing to much, besides school, piano, writing, and drama. Normal stuff for me.

Wow its been a long time since I have written anything :P :) Hmmm not sure what to say though.

Right now I am just testing, trying to put a picture in with text. So yeah, I have never tried to do this before so we'll see how this works :P So this is a picture of my cat Orion (AKA Orie). I think he is 3 years old, he is really cuddly and loving. I also have another cat (kitten really) named Neeko. Neeko means 'cat' in Japanese. I also have another cat, but she is an outside cat, her name is Walker. I have a dog too, his name is Ozzy. He's weird. :) yeah so that's all my pets. :)

stuff I did the past week

Hilary had her sweet 16th birthday last weekend, it was fun, but really cold. Well it was cold for San Antonio, and I had to wear a skirt, and we were outside! The cool thing about the party being outside was that it was the biggest full moon of 2009.
Yeah so this was my first week back to school after Christmas break, and starting school again reminded me how much I hate math :P I am doing Algebra I this year, its not exactly the subject that I look forward to...not that I look forward to any subject.
Drama has also started again, right now we are working on blocking the play. We are on page 29 I think.
Yesterday I went over to Stacey's house. She had to make a music video for school. Alexa and I helped her video and act, her brother also helped too. Its the best music video in the world. LOL, OK maybe its not the best-actually its far from the best-but its pretty funny and it was fun to make. We took a bunch of pictures also, but I don't have any of them.

So Christmas break is almost over, sad day! Christmas time is always crazy with Grandma's birthday, my birthday, Mom and Dad's anniversary, Christmas, Daniel's birthday, New years, and Becca's birthday. Lot of stuff going on! Yeah so I start school again this Monday, not something I'm exactly looking forward to :P The only good thing about school starting again is that drama is also starting. I finally found out who I am in the play and I am happy about it. I actually got a role I tried out for, so that's a good thing. It is by far the biggest part I have gotten, so that is exciting too :)
