Ice Skating 4 the first time EVER

Wow I really haven't bloged in a loooooooong time.
So on Wednesday I attempted to ice skate for the first time in my life. All of my friends had been ice skating about 7 or 8 times before, so even though they weren't the best, they were a LOT better than I was :) I think I could have done a lot worse. I was there about and hour and a half and only fell 3 times...this is not including all the times I almost fell, that was WAY too many to count. :) I held on to the wall most of the time, but I let go a lot too.
Yeah so I am defiantly not the worlds best ice skater...or even close, but at least I only fell 3 times, if I fell any more I think I would be REALLY sore! :) :) :)

So drama started two (or three) weeks ago. I already missed one week since I was sick last week-which by the way is lame.
Anyway, we have to do this project thing. We got assigned groups and a time period. Each group has a different time and we have to make a costume that fits the time period. Easy enough right? Here's the catch: only 25% of the costume can be cloth. The main question I get every time I tell this to some-body is "If you can only use 25% of cloth, what's the other 75% made out of?" the answer is anything else you can think of. Felt, newspaper, bubble wrap, duck tape, gaff tape, yarn etc.
My group has been assigned to the late 1800's, so we have to make a long dress, and puffy sleeves and everything. So we'll see how it turns out :)

being sick is lame

Well I'm just bored right now sitting on the couch in the living room. I'm getting over a cold that I've had since Wednesday night. I really hate being sick, you can't do anything and you feel horrible. There's also never anything on T.V. to watch when your sick.
I really don't have anything to say...soooo I guess I'll be going now. :)

first week of school-so sad :(

So school started this Monday (the first of September), so sad :( But so far I'm finishing around 12ish which I normally don't do. And so far I'm doing good in Algebra I-but I still don't like it.
Dad's Birthday was this Thursday, we went to Chili's to eat. Drama also started this past Thursday, and that's always fun, and I'm excited for that. Football also started this Thursday.

everything I have done the past few...weeks?...sort of

So it's been a long time since I have blogged, and its not even like I've been that busy! I'm just enjoying the last few moments (days really) of freedom before school starts-so sad. I'll be going into 8th grade. Its kinda weird I don't feel any older but next year I'll be in high school-even weirder. Since I haven't started school I guess I'm not officially and 8th grader, I am at church though. All the 8th (9th now) graders moved up last Sunday, so sad most of my friends are 8th...I mean 9th graders. Mrs. Elizabeth is still our small group leader so thats good.
Jerry is going to be starting another church so he leaving. thats sad. He's been the youth paster here for 8 (I'm pretty sure thats what he said) years now. But its really cool what he's doing, and he's still going to be in the city.
Dylan came to visit today at church. He said he would but I kinda didn't believe him. I mean he moved to Austin, and he's gonna come all the way back here just to come visit for a weekend? But he did. He was all excited to get to see everyone again.
September 4th is Daddy's BD, the opening game of football, and the first day of drama. I'm really excited about drama starting and really excited for the play. I've been in it since 5th grade (3 years) and acted in 3 plays and teched for 2. We're only doing 1 play this year which is kinda sad, but it will still be good. We were going to do this really serious drama play, about these girls in 1910 (I think) who didn't fell like they were getting payed enough for all the work that they were doing-and they really weren't getting payed enough-so they went on strike and its about what happens to them and everything they go threw and how they win the strike. But Mrs.Miller gave us a choice, do that play or do a melodrama. We had to vote and everything and the melodrama won-hard core too. So thats the play we will be doing. I'm not to sure what its about but it will be a lot of fun and I'm excited.
I don't think were going to be starting to work on the play till after Christmas break though. For the fall semester we will be learning about improve and the rules to it. Who knew that there was rules to improve? Crazy. But I'm super excited for that too. I actually really like improve. I wouldn't think it would be something I would enjoy so much, but that doesn't scare me at all. I told Becca I think its because I'm not afraid to forget any lines-since I'm making them up on the spot. Which is kinda like writing, which I love doing.
Oh and I got a hair cut last...no thats wrong...uh two Mondays...?...ago. I don't know. Some time and it was a Monday, it was the week Becca was here before she went back to Baylor. Any way its a lot shorter. It only hits like my shoulders now, and Becca convinced me to let her give me bangs so thats even shorter. I can still put it in a pony tail but its so small! Every time I brush my hair its weird cuz I expect it to be longer...and its not. Weird.
Well I can't think of anything else to say and this is already a pretty long blog-by far the longest I have written so far-so I guess I'll be going now.

Lake

So we went to the lake yesterday, that was fun. Mom doesn't really know how to swim so Dad and I were trying to teach her a bit. We were there for a while and I only got a little sunburned on my face but you can barley even tell now. Which is a lot better than when I got sunburned last time.
Yeah so that was fun, today is Wednesday Becca is coming home from Mexico on Sunday-Yay! We have to leave the house at 5AM-boo :(

Fact-Orie Doesn't Like Ridding in The Car.

So like I said before, we went to Grandma's house today cuz of the bug spray stuff. We went at about 10:30. Orie has been in the car before but never with us so this was a first. Mom carried him to the car and he didn't really like that. Once he was in the car he pretty much freaked out, tail puffed up and everything. And that was BEFORE we started moving. He tried hiding in different places but finally went under the drivers seat, I tried to stop him-but that didn't work. He stayed under there the whole ride, meowing-loudly. Then when we got there it was hard to get him out from under there.
We stayed at Grandma's house for a while, then we came back. Dad put wholes in a box and we put a blanket in there and Orie stayed in there for the ride home. He did a lot better on the ride home. :)

it's raining today

So we were suppose to go to the lake today but it was raining so much we could not. So we went to the movies instead. Its always fun to go, we do not go that much. We saw Journey to the Center of the Earth, and it was in 3D so that was cool.
Also our washing machine has been making really weird noises and such, and yesterday (I think) it decided it was not going to work anymore and leaked water every where. That was not good. So we went had too look around for a washing machine today.
Now we are home again. Tomorrow Dad wants to do some bug spray thing in the house and we can not be in the house for about 2 hours. But we can not leave Orie and Ozzy in the house either, so we are going to go to Grandma's house and take the pets with us.

I'm board

So today is Wednesday. I'm not really doing anything just on the computer, so I thought I would write about what we have been doing-which isn't a lot.
On Tuesday we watched The Mummy, I'd never watched it before, come to think of it I haven't watched a lot of movies...
Lat night we had Wednesday night youth group. Thats always fun.
I also found out that Orie (my cat) likes powder donuts. I was eating one and I let him smell it, and he tried to eat it. I didn't let him though. And before that we'd given him a little piece of egg and he didn't want to eat it. We gave him a little piece of bacon and although he ate that he got way more excited about the donut, Weird cat.

Random things

So today was the first day Becca is gone :( she told me to right about stuff we have been doing so I will although we haven't done anything really exciting-well really we haven't done anything.
We had church this morning, in my youth group we just had a fun day and told stories about beach blast. There were some really funny ones like Mikaela dropping her cell phone off the 4th floor after in rooms curfue and having to get her room leader to go down stairs and get it in the dark-and it fell in bushes. And John and Skylar throwing Ice and other stuff on Aaron while he was in the shower. Another girl said how they put their cell phone in the room safe and it went off at 2AM and they couldn't understand where it was coming from. And there were a lot more. So that was pretty fun.
Dad and I went to the Wall Mart after lunch. Well since Friday night we have been debating if gum is considered a candy or if it is in a different category. So when we went to go pay for everything he asked the check out lady if gum was a candy. She said no...hmm. I think it is. Dad says he considers Bubble Gum a candy, so I think all gum is-but thats just my opinion.

Becca's last day home :(

So today is the last full day Becca will be home for :( tomorrow she will go to Mexico on a mission trip for 30 days-crazy! She's so excited. And its a total God thing that she gets to go too. She didn't know if she would have enough money to go but little (and sometimes large) by little she got enough and even has some extra, totally amazing! I'll really miss her while she's gone, but I know its what she wants to do, so I'm really happy for her.
Right now I'm in her room helping her decide what to take.
At least we had a fun last day, I woke up kinda late cuz I couldn't fall asleep till 3am, after breakfast Becca, Dad and I went to the mall and got pretzel bites and went to JC Penney's. Then Daniel and Jessica came over for dinner and we played a board game-and that was really fun.

Also something I learned today is that minty Melaleuca toothpaste really hurts when you get it in your eye-this is from experience. And Becca says Melaleuca deodorant tastes bad-this is also from experience (she got some on her hand and into her mouth.).

Sisters day events

Well like I said last night, today is sisters day!!! Now that Becca already oped her gift I can say what I got her. I got her a starbucks card for $10, and some pretty earings from target. Daniel got her a Target gift card.
Becca got me a cute purse, a jornal, and a $5 gift card to Barnes & Nobels. Daniel got me Peanutbutter M&M's and Kit Kat's, but really he didn't have to get me anything this is why.

Me and Mom came home from the Library and he was here.
"You know why I'm here?" He asked.
"No..." I responded. He pointed at a bag on the floor. I just looked at him and nodded not really sure what he wanted me to do.
"Open it! This is your sisters day gift." He told me, so I opend it. Inside was a Wii!!!
So yeah thats why he didn't have to buy me anything for sisters day, but he still got me candy so that was nice.
We went to Chick-Fil-A for Dinner-yum!!! And then we went to Best Buy, which was actualy Beccas idea, we just kinda walked around for a while. That was fun too. Now we are home and Daniel left already.
Dad made a Blog today, and Mom made one yestorday-like me.
Becca is leaving to go to Mexico for a month in 4 days :( sad.

Sisters Day

Tomorrow is sisters Day. Yay! I have Becca's gift already, but I can't put it just in case she looks at my blog. I think we're going to go eat at Panda Express I dono.
Anyway that will be fun.

Time problems

For some reason the time is off, I just posted that blog about beach blast and its 9:09 now. I'll have to find out how to fix that.

Beach Blast '08

So I just got back from a camp with my church, we went down to Galveston Island. We took buses and it took about 41/2 hours to get there-that is a very long time to sit and not use the bathroom :). Anyway, we did a lot of crazy stuff there.
I had 7 other people in my room, and I actually knew them all. My team was called the Puffy Purple Power Pandas...which we found out was really hard to say a lot and fast.
This is what we did everyday,
-wake up at 8 and get ready,
-breakfast at 8:30,
-Morning lesson,
-Team competitions,
-Lunch,
-Free time (which for me and the people I was with most of the time this meant going to the pool),
-Get ready for dinner,
-Dinner,
-Evening lesson,
-Small groups,
-In rooms,
-Bedtime (yay!) 12:30.

We were always doing something but it was really fun. Team Competitions were crazy! One of the times we had to bend over and put our head on a wooden pole thingy and run around it 10 times then run across the beach and back...you get a lot more dizzy then I would have thought you could. For the messy relays 3 people in our team had to bob for bananas and then find a jolly rancher in a pile of flower, oh and they couldn't use their hands, only their face.
Some of our team also had to eat baby food, and there where really grouse kinds too like turkey and stuff, I didn't even know there was that kind at all.
John had to lay on the floor and hold a stick in his mouth while other people had to dip a ring in chocolate syrup and try to make it on to the stick, if they missed they had to dip it in chocolate again till they got it.
I had to get a Mr. Potato head peace out of a kid pool with my feet. That wasn't really messy, just hard.
I can't think of any other things we did, but I know we did a lot of other crazy stuff. It was really fun.
